Vent Fitness Review
Vent FitnessSM opened their first location in Guilderland, Clifton Park, Latham and Niskayuna in 2013. Current members of Gold’s Gym can maintain their membership benefits.
Lia Fitness plans on opening a studio location in Saratoga. While smaller than its other gyms, this one would still offer all of their amenities.
‘Membership Options’
Vent Fitness offers various membership packages that cater to different membership needs and fitness goals, with basic membership beginning at just $9.99 per month and more comprehensive packages that provide personal training sessions and access to its facility. You can even take advantage of its free mobile app designed to keep you on track with your fitness goals!
Former Gold’s Gym locations in Clifton Park, Latham and Niskayuna will become VENT FitnessSM locations starting January 1, 2013. Existing members at these locations will retain their current membership benefits while offering a wide array of amenities like Group Exercise classes, Kids Club programs and Tanning services. Furthermore, new facilities will open within two years in the Capital District with cutting edge equipment and programming – one being an impressive 45,000 sq foot flagship location at Hamilton Square in Guilderland.
‘Membership Pricing’
Vent Fitness charges extra for its pool and basketball court; however, they remain slightly cheaper than the YMCA while offering more equipment options.
Early this year, former Gold’s Gym locations in Clifton Park, Latham and Niskayuna were transformed into VENT FitnessSM centers, while existing members retained their benefits. Plans include purchasing new equipment and making renovations at these sites as well as other sites in the Capital District area.
PulseMag: Vent is an industry pioneer when it comes to developing energy bars, smoothies, shakes, and snacks to keep people healthy between workouts. Featured in PulseMag, their Guilderland and Latham locations offer basketball courts, swimming pools, rock climbing walls, as well as hydrobeds for water massage, saunas, and tanning booths as amenities.
‘Membership Benefits’
Vent fitness stands out from other gyms in its area with its emphasis on more than physical health alone. Each location provides various health and wellness services, including saunas, hydro beds for water massages, tanning booths, personal and group training programs as well as energy bars that offer healthy snacks to help maintain a balanced diet outside the gym.
Albany Fitness Club boasts an impressive assortment of equipment, such as free weights and benches. Their helpful and friendly staff provides outstanding customer service; however, due to the higher price point they may not be suitable for everyone; for a cheaper option I suggest visiting the YMCA instead.
Current efforts involve the conversion of former Gold’s Gym locations in Clifton Park, Latham, Niskayuna and Guilderland into VENT FitnessSM centers. Existing Gold’s Gym members at these locations will retain their membership benefits when the transition is complete; and new state-of-the-art equipment and amenities will be introduced at these VENT FitnessSM centers – with expansion plans targeted regionally throughout New York State, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
